Album Cover Design based on Typography
AnugeraHitz Trophy Design competition
AnugeraHitz are looking for a modern and innovative trophy design. Therefore, I have designed a trophy with cube-like structures.
My inspiration for the trophy was derived from the unique
architectural structures of buildings in this generation. The architectural structures have improved in this modern day and is more futuristic. Most of the buildings are formed with lots of curves or with cubic structures.
I have chosen to incorporate the cubic style into the trophy. The trophy forms a letter S which stands for Suria. The S form is the main support for the whole trophy and goes through certain cubes. It flows down all the way and creates a base for the trophy. Halfway down, there are cubes formed to create more
depth for the trophy. The cubes each represnts the different mainstream
genres in the malay music industry like ballad, pop, rock, classical, traditional folk, jazz and R&B.
I have chosen metal for the S form but with a navy blue painted to the front and back of it. As for the cubes, I have chosen basic light and dark orange opaque acrylic glass. The colours were chosen in the same range as the Suria and Mediacorp company colours.
